PAIR OF T-7 CABINETS W/ 8 INCH FIELD COIL SPEAKERS

Originally developed as a smaller variation to the large horns systems that use field coil drivers.  The cabinet is a compound design that uses a 100 hz back firing horn and a short transmission line also firing out the rear to augment output below the cutoff of the horn portion.  Smooth response to below 60 hz is achieved with some extension below 40 hz.  The dual cone design gives bright crisp highs above 16k that are musical and a joy to listen to.  10 pair have been produced and were marketed about 12 years ago by Classic Audio Loudspeakers and sold by SSX Field Coil Audio Products.

The field coil requires a dc power supply that can provide .65 to .8 amp to each speaker at 10-12 volts.  The voice coils read around 7 ohm and the sensitivity is high enough at 94 db to allow for small single ended tube amps of greater than 5 watts to drive to full level.

This pair was produced 10 years ago and have been moved quite a bit.  There are some minor dings in one cabinet side that could be easily repaired and minor damage to a bottom corner.  Both speakers were tested at a high listening level with no issues.
